The Silent Writer gives his word of advice to our young motorcyclists. Here's what he has to say:

"Whenever I sit down with my ex-riders over a cup of coffee, we will reminince our past riding activities together in Singapore and Johore, Malaysia. Those were the days of "hell-riding adventures" we could never delete out from our memories. Our young blood can never be able to quench the thirst for thrill and speed, rider and pillion alike. One could imagine the sweet taste of victory whenever we won each illegal race, with each win fanning our ego to become more daring and to do bolder stunts. 

As we grew older and priorities start to change. One by one, our group members got themselves married and started having kids. Reckless riding was no longer fun anymore. Safety for our own lives became a primary importance. Especially when three of our close buddies and one cousin of mine passed away at a very young age of 24. I believe four deaths due to reckless riding is more than enough to wake all of us up from this delusional recklessness and irresponsible riding.

To all riders, I wish you a safe journey and God-Willing, we get to see and embrace our loved ones who are waiting for us to come back home each day, from every destination we started. Peace to all..."

Sometimes in life, priorities change and responsibilities undergo major shifts. You change for the benefits of your loved ones. Positive change is a good thing. It builts character, maturity and most importantly, it lets you focus on the things that matter.

I'm now going through a new phase in life. My "strumming" days are over and it is time for me to focus fully on my career. Nevertheless, the spirit of music is still in the blood and ocassionally, I will have a session or two with my band friends just to relieve the "cravings".

Here's my pre-loved Samick and Watson Amp that I'm letting go to anyone who is willing to take over my musical journey. Both items will be sold for SGD$188.

This lecture builds on past presentations and considers the nature and process of revelation of the Qur'an, and its inherent distinction relative to other Sacred Scriptures such as the Holy Bible, the Bhagvad Gita and the I-Ching.

The lecture proceeds to explore the impact of the Qur'an on society historically and and today, concluding with an articulation of the basis of understanding the text, and based on this the universal messages of the Qur’an to mankind in general and to Muslims specifically.
